What does BTTS (GG) mean?
Both teams to score is a simple yes/no market. BTTS Yes (GG) wins if each team scores at least one goal in normal time. BTTS No (NG) wins if one or both teams fail to score. The final result does not matter: a 1-1 draw, a 3-2 home win and a 1-4 away win are all GG winners. Extra time and penalties are not counted unless the market says so.

- GG and Over 2.5 - both teams score and the match has at least three goals. A 1-1 loses, a 2-1 wins. The price is higher because you need two things to happen.
- Result and BTTS (often labelled "1 & GG" or "Win and GG") - a team wins and both sides score.

The checklist a match must pass for a GG pick
We are not trying to be the "best GG prediction site in the world"; we are trying to be honest about why a match qualifies. Our picks are our editors' own reading of recent results and published stats, and every BTTS tip has to pass the same checklist:
- Scoring and conceding rates. We look at how often each team scores and concedes, home and away separately, over recent matches. A side that scores at home but rarely concedes is a warning sign for GG.
- Expected goals, not just goals. Teams can be lucky or unlucky for a few weeks. Where chance-quality data exists we use it to see whether a run of clean sheets is solid defending or good fortune.
- Team news. A missing first-choice striker or goalkeeper changes the picture more than any trend. Picks are finalised after line-ups or reliable reports.
- Match context. Cup ties where a draw suits one side, end-of-season games with nothing at stake, derby tension and weather all matter.
- Price check. If the bookmaker price is shorter than our own estimate, we skip the match even if we think GG is likely. A likely outcome at a bad price is still a bad bet.
That last point explains why some days have only two or three BTTS picks. We would rather post fewer tips than fill a list.
How to read BTTS odds
Nigerian bookmakers show decimal odds. To turn a price into the implied chance, divide 1 by the odds: GG at 1.80 implies about 55.6%, NG at 2.00 implies 50%. Add the two together and you get more than 100%; the extra is the bookmaker's margin. When you compare sites, the one with the smaller total margin is giving you the better price.
A quick example with a N1,000 stake: GG at 1.75 returns N1,750 if it lands (N750 profit). The same pick at 1.85 returns N1,850. Singles, doubles and BTTS accumulators
Many punters stack five or six GG picks into one ticket because the combined odds look attractive. The catch is that every extra leg multiplies the risk. Four selections that each have a 60% chance only all land together about 13% of the time. If you like accumulators, keep them short and read our accumulator tips page for staking ideas. For steady play, singles and doubles on BTTS are easier to manage.
Staking GG picks through losing runs
- Decide on a monthly betting budget you can lose without touching rent, school fees or food money, and keep it separate from your main account.
- Stake a small fixed share of that budget per tip, for example 1-3%. With a N20,000 budget, that is N200-N600 a bet.
- Do not raise stakes after a loss to "win it back". BTTS has natural losing runs, and a late goal that never comes is part of the game.
- Keep a simple record: date, match, pick, odds, stake, result. After a month you will see whether the approach works for you.
