Accumulators are the most loved bet in Nigeria. A handful of naira can turn into a serious return if every leg lands, and building a slip on a Saturday morning is half the fun. Our accumulator tips give you a ready-made football acca every day, with the reasoning for each leg, and this guide explains how to use them without burning through your budget.

The daily slip usually has three to six legs drawn from our 1X2, BTTS and goals research. Each line shows the pick, the price at publication and why it is there. When a booking code is provided you can load the slip in seconds; always confirm the total odds on your own bet slip.
What is an accumulator bet?
An accumulator (acca, multiple or "combo") joins several selections into one bet. The odds multiply, and every leg must win for the bet to pay. A three-leg acca at 1.80, 1.90 and 2.00 has total odds of 6.84; a N1,000 stake returns N6,840 if all three win. If one loses, the whole bet loses.
That multiplication works both ways. Four picks that are each 60% likely land together only about 13% of the time. Eight such picks: under 2%. That is why "mega accumulator tips" with 15 or 20 legs are lottery tickets, however carefully each leg is chosen.
Rules we follow when picking acca legs
Our picks are editorial opinions based on public form and statistics, not inside information, and they lose regularly.
- Start with singles. Every leg must be a pick we would back on its own. If it is only there to raise the odds, it is out.
- Keep it short. Three to five legs on most days. More legs means more ways to lose, not more value.
- Mix markets carefully. Home wins, both teams to score, over 1.5 or 2.5 goals and double chance picks can sit together if the reasons are independent.
- Avoid correlated legs unless priced properly. "Team A to win" and "over 2.5 goals" in the same match move together; many sites block or reprice these combinations.
- Check kick-off times. We spread legs so late team news has a chance to show before the first game starts.
Correct score accumulators and other high-risk accas
Correct score accumulator tips are popular because the odds are enormous, but a single correct score is already a long shot, typically priced from 6.00 up to 15.00 or more for common scores. Two of them together is a very long shot. If you enjoy the excitement, keep it to the smallest stake you use and never treat it as a plan. "Crazy accumulator tips" fall into the same category.
System bets: a safety net for accas
Most Nigerian bookmakers offer system bets, which split one slip into several smaller accumulators:
- A 2/3 system places three doubles from three picks. Two winners still return something.
- A 3/4 system places four trebles from four picks.
You stake more in total (one unit per combination), but one losing leg no longer kills the whole bet. Use the odds calculator to see what each system returns before you place it.
Acca bonuses and acca insurance
Many sites boost the winnings on multiples with a minimum number of legs, or let a slip survive one losing leg. In Nigeria, SportyBet advertises a multibet bonus that grows with the number of selections, BetKing runs an acca bonus and Super Boost, and Bet9ja, SportyBet and BetKing each offer a cut feature (Cut1, 1Cut, FlexiCUT) that pays a reduced amount when one leg loses. Betway's welcome offer has itself been built around accumulators of five or more selections at 1.40 or higher. Read the rules first: minimum odds per leg, eligible markets, the cap on the boost and how a refund is paid. Compare current promotions on our betting bonuses page and in the table below.
Bankroll rules for accumulator punters
- Set a fixed acca budget per week and stick to it.
- Stake less as the odds rise: a 5-odds acca gets a smaller stake than a single at 1.80.
- Use cash out with care. It can lock in a profit, but the offered amount usually includes a margin for the bookmaker.
- Track your accas separately from singles. Many punters find their singles are profitable and their accas are where the money goes.
Betting is for adults 18+. If you are chasing losses, take a break.
A Saturday acca routine that keeps you honest
A sensible Saturday routine: check the daily slip in the morning, remove any leg you disagree with rather than adding new ones, compare the total price on two sites, then place a modest stake before the early kick-off. After the last match, write the result in your record. It sounds boring, but it is how you find out whether accas are working for you or just feel exciting.
Where acca boosts and cut features are strongest
For short accas, the price on each leg matters more than any bonus, so keep two accounts and compare. For longer slips, the multibet bonuses at SportyBet and BetKing add the most, and the cut features at Bet9ja, SportyBet and BetKing soften the blow of one losing leg. SportyBet also states a maximum payout per bet, which only matters for the very largest accas but is worth knowing before you chase one.

Frequently asked questions
What are sure accumulator tips?
There are no sure accumulator tips. Each leg can lose and the risk multiplies with every selection. Good tips are well reasoned and fairly priced, not certain.
How many legs should an accumulator have?
Fewer is usually better. Three to five well chosen legs give a reasonable return without stacking too much risk.
What is acca insurance?
A promotion where the bookmaker refunds your stake, usually as a free bet, if only one leg of a qualifying accumulator loses. Rules vary by site.
What happens if a match in my acca is postponed?
On most sites that leg is voided and the accumulator is recalculated without it. Check your bookmaker's rules for postponed and abandoned matches.
Is a system bet better than an accumulator?
A system bet costs more but pays out even if one or more legs lose. A straight acca pays more when all legs win but returns nothing otherwise.
What is a football accumulator?
It is a single bet that combines several football picks. The odds multiply and all picks must win for the bet to pay out.
