Our HT FT prediction page covers one of the trickiest markets in football: calling the result at half time and at full time on the same ticket. Below you will find today's half time full time picks with a short reason for each, followed by a guide to how the market works, why some outcomes pay huge odds and how to keep your stakes under control.

Each pick shows the fixture, the HT/FT combination (for example 1/1 or X/2), the price when it was published and the reasoning. Check the live price on your bookmaker before you bet; HT/FT odds can move sharply when line-ups are announced.
How half time full time betting works
An HT/FT bet has two parts. The first is the result at the break, the second is the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. "1" is a home lead or win, "X" is a draw, "2" is an away lead or win. That gives nine possible outcomes:
| Code | Half time | Full time | Typical character |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/1 | Home ahead | Home win | Strong favourite at home |
| X/1 | Draw | Home win | Favourite that starts slowly |
| 2/1 | Away ahead | Home win | Comeback, rare, big price |
| 1/X | Home ahead | Draw | Late equaliser |
| X/X | Draw | Draw | Tight, low-scoring game |
| 2/X | Away ahead | Draw | Late equaliser |
| 1/2 | Home ahead | Away win | Comeback, rare, big price |
| X/2 | Draw | Away win | Away favourite that grinds it out |
| 2/2 | Away ahead | Away win | Strong away favourite |
The market is popular because it pays more than a plain 1X2 bet on the same team. A favourite at 1.50 to win might be priced well above 2.00 at 1/1, because you also need them to be ahead at the break.
About 1/2 and 2/1 tips for today
Searches for "HT FT 1/2 and 2/1 tips" are common, and the reason is the odds: comebacks are usually priced at 20.00 or more. They do happen, but rarely, and nobody can predict them reliably. When you see a site offering "fixed" or "correct" HT/FT reversal tips, walk away. Fixed match sellers are scams, and they often ask for payment or your account login. We only post a reversal pick when there is a specific reason, such as a strong favourite that habitually concedes early and finishes well, and we always flag it as a high-risk small-stake idea.
Signals behind an HT/FT pick
Our picks are the editors' view of recent form and open match statistics, not inside information, and they lose regularly.
- First-half form. Some teams are fast starters, others need an hour to break opponents down. We look at half-time results over recent matches, not just final scores.
- Goal timing. When are goals scored and conceded? A team that scores most of its goals after the 60th minute is a better X/1 or X/2 candidate than 1/1.
- Strength gap. 1/1 and 2/2 picks need a clear quality difference. Close matches lean towards X/X or are skipped altogether.
- Line-ups and rotation. A favourite resting players before a cup tie is more likely to start slowly.
- Price. If the HT/FT price does not reward the extra risk compared with a straight win, we leave it.
Half time draw prediction
A half time draw ("HT X" or half-time result draw) is a separate, simpler market. Low-scoring leagues, cautious away teams and big games where neither side wants to lose early tend to produce more 0-0 or 1-1 first halves. It is one of the more steady half-time markets, but "sure half time draw tips" do not exist: one early goal ends the bet. If you like the idea, combine it with a full-time view only when the reasoning holds for both halves.
Reading HT/FT odds
Divide 1 by the decimal price to get the implied chance. HT/FT 1/1 at 2.40 implies about 41.7%; X/1 at 4.50 implies about 22.2%. Ask yourself whether your own estimate is higher than that. If you think the favourite leads at half time and wins in roughly half of such matches, 2.40 is decent value. If you think it is closer to a third, it is not, no matter how confident the team looks on paper.
Bookmakers set HT/FT margins higher than on 1X2, so comparing prices across sites matters even more here. Use the betting odds calculator to check returns before you book.
Staking HT/FT bets sensibly
- Treat HT/FT as a higher-risk market. Stake less than you would on a 1X2 or double chance pick, for example half your usual unit.
- Avoid long HT/FT accumulators. Three HT/FT legs at around 3.00 each have a very small chance of all landing, even if every pick is reasonable.
- Keep reversal punts (1/2, 2/1) to the smallest stake you use, and do not chase them.
- Track results over at least a month before deciding the market suits you.
Only bet money you can afford to lose; betting is for 18+ only.
HT/FT markets at Nigerian bookmakers
All the bookmakers in the table list HT/FT on major football leagues; depth on smaller leagues and live HT/FT pricing is where they differ. 1xBet has the widest market list of the brands we track, so it is the first place to look for HT/FT on minor leagues. Bet9ja and SportyBet list HT/FT on the main leagues, and their cut features (Cut1, 1Cut) can apply to slips that include an HT/FT leg, depending on the rules. MSport's welcome vouchers need odds of at least 3.00, which many HT/FT prices reach on their own.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best HT FT prediction site?
The best HT FT prediction site explains why each pick was chosen, shows its record honestly and never claims fixed or sure results. Use tips as one input and check the price yourself.
What does HT/FT 1/1 mean?
1/1 means the home team is leading at half time and also wins the match. 2/2 is the same for the away team, and X/X means a draw at both points.
Are HT FT fixed matches real?
No. People selling fixed HT/FT matches are running scams. They usually ask for money upfront or for your betting account details. Never pay for fixed tips.
Why do 2/1 and 1/2 pay so much?
Because a team must be losing at half time and then win the match, which happens rarely. The big odds reflect that low chance, not hidden value.
Does extra time count in HT/FT?
No. HT/FT settles on the score at half time and at the end of normal time including stoppage time. Extra time and penalties are excluded.
