Luckybet is a name used by several betting companies around the world, so Nigerian searches for "luckybet" and "luckybet nigeria" can land on the wrong one. This Luckybet review covers luckybet.ng, the Nigerian bookmaker that runs retail shops alongside its website and app. It is based on the live site, trade press and Nigerian business coverage; we have not funded an account, and several details such as the current bonus and payment methods are still unconfirmed, as we explain below. 18+ only.
Which Luckybet this page is about
The Nigerian Luckybet is the one at luckybet.ng, whose site title reads "Get Lucky ... Get Rich". Trade press describes it as a shop-based bookmaker with about a hundred retail outlets that moved its sportsbook onto the BtoBet platform, a supplier used by several African operators. If a site calling itself Luckybet uses a different domain, asks for crypto only or quotes prices in another currency, it is probably a different company, and nothing on this page applies to it.
Luckybet licence history
Nigerian coverage from 2020 and 2021 describes Luckybet as licensed by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and the Lagos State lotteries board. Those reports are a few years old, and we have not yet matched a current licence on a regulator's list. The line we hold is: NLRC and Lagos State Lotteries Board. Look at the footer of luckybet.ng for a licence number before you deposit, and see how we rate for how we treat licences that are only confirmed by older sources.
Luckybet app and download
Luckybet launched its mobile app in 2021, promoting it with better odds for app users at the time. The app is for Android; we have not confirmed an iPhone version. Take the download link from luckybet.ng itself, not from a file shared in a group chat or a "luckybet download" result on an unknown site. Our betting apps guide explains how to install an Android APK safely and switch the unknown-sources setting back off afterwards.
Luckybet registration and sign up
- Open luckybet.ng directly in your browser.
- Choose register and enter your Nigerian phone number.
- Use your real name and date of birth, matching your bank account.
- Confirm the SMS code if one is sent, then check your profile.
If you also bet in a Luckybet shop, ask staff whether shop tickets and your online account are linked. Keep to one online account and make sure the name on it matches the bank account you will withdraw to.
Luckybet bonus, promo code and withdrawals
We could not find a current Luckybet welcome bonus on the site, and the payment methods are not listed in sources we trust. Searches for a "luckybet promo code" or "luckybet bonus" therefore have no confirmed answer yet; if an offer appears, our facts box will show it. For withdrawals, start with a small amount to a bank account in your own name and keep the transaction reference. A shop-based bookmaker may also pay retail tickets over the counter, which is a separate process from online withdrawals, so ask the shop which ticket types it can pay.
Products: sports, virtuals and casino
The site carries sports betting, virtual games and a casino section. Virtual football results are random, and so are casino rounds, so set a limit before you play. Any "luckybet virtual hack" or prediction app sold online is a scam.
Bigger licensed names to compare
Luckybet is a small brand online, and with its bonus and payments unconfirmed it scores lower in our ranking than the big local brands. If you want a licence that is easy to check and a long list of payment options, compare it with the brands below, whose licence details are easier to check.
