Wolf Gold is a long-running slot set in the American desert, with wolves, eagles, horses and buffalo on the reels. It is a Pragmatic Play title and a staple of casino lobbies thanks to its balanced style: wins arrive at a steady pace and the Money Respin feature offers three fixed jackpots. This Wolf Gold slot review explains the features and how to try them in free play.
How Wolf Gold works
The game has 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 paylines. Animal symbols pay the most, card ranks the least. The wolf is the wild and substitutes for regular symbols. A scatter triggers the free spins.
Watch for stacked symbols: large stacks of the same animal can fill several reels and create multiple line wins at once.
Money Respin and the jackpots
Moon symbols carry cash values. Land six or more moons and the Money Respin feature starts:
- The moons lock in place and every other position becomes blank.
- You get three respins. Only moons can land.
- Each new moon locks too and resets the respin count to three.
- When you run out of respins, all moon values are paid.
Some moons show a Mini or Major jackpot instead of a cash value. Filling all 15 positions with moons wins the Mega jackpot. These jackpots are fixed multiples of your stake, not progressive pools, according to the provider.
Wolf Gold free spins
Three scatters on the middle reels trigger free spins. During the feature, the three middle reels join to form a giant 3 by 3 symbol on each spin, which can produce big line wins when the giant symbol matches the outer reels. More scatters during the round add spins.
Medium volatility, between Starburst and Gates of Olympus
According to Pragmatic Play, the standard RTP is around 96% and volatility is medium. Casinos may choose lower settings; check the game's info screen. Medium volatility makes Wolf Gold a good choice if you want something between a calm slot like Starburst and a wild one like Gates of Olympus.
Seeing the Money Respin in demo mode
Wolf Gold free play is available in demo mode at most casinos. The Money Respin triggers often enough that a short demo session will usually show it, so you can see how the moons and jackpots work before playing with naira.
The original Wolf Gold has no bonus buy, so the demo shows you exactly the features you will get with real money.
Finding Wolf Gold at Nigerian bookmakers
Wolf Gold is a Pragmatic Play slot, and Pragmatic titles are common in the casino tabs of local brands, but confirm the game in the lobby before depositing. The licences behind those casino tabs differ: Bet9ja's national licence covers sports and casino betting and it also holds a Lagos State licence, BetKing's national licence covers sports and games betting, SportyBet publishes its national licence number, and MSport lists a Lagos State permit. Betway adds a separate casino permit to its sports licences. Our rating method explains how we check these numbers.
